*Chicken sweaters are used for protection from roasters and are not typically intended to keep a hen warm. Using a sweater for prolonged periods, can make it harder for your hen to regulate their body heat or acclimate to changing weather, and should only be used for warmth in extremely cold conditions or sudden temperature drops. Some breeds do have a more difficult time in cold climates and may benefit from a chicken sweater. Always monitor new feather growth and protect your hens from parasites.
