Today was a good day.

My amazing friend Lois Youngen is approaching her 93 birthday with pep in her step and a big warm smile. Her story is amazing.

Lois played professional baseball from 1951-1954 in the All American Girls Baseball League and is celebrated in the MLB Hall of Fame.

She’s an Emeritus Professor of Physical Education at the University of Oregon where she worked with Bill Bowerman teaching running classes to her students.

Happy Birthday Lois.
