PRIESTHOOD, LIFE, AND THE RELEASE OF GOD'S KINGDOM - By APOSTLE Kennedy Ohia
True priesthood is not just a title, garment, position, or religious office. It is a spiritual function of standing before God on behalf of people and standing before people as a carrier of God’s mercy, life, holiness, and order.
In the Bible, priests were called to minister unto the Lord, discern what was holy, intercede for the people, and help turn the atmosphere from judgment to mercy.
The priestly mantle is not meant to promote death, accusation, confusion, or destruction. It is meant to release life, healing, reconciliation, and divine order.
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” - Revelation 1:6 (KJV)
1. The Prayer Censer Represents Priestly Intercession That Stops Death and Releases Life
Aaron took the censer, placed fire and incense upon it, and ran into the midst of the congregation to make atonement for the people. As he stood between the living and the dead, the plague was stopped.
“And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.” - Numbers 16:48 (KJV)
This reveals the power of true priestly intercession. The prayer of the priest is not passive; it confronts the spirit of death and releases the life of God. Priestly prayer is healing prayer. It carries mercy, atonement, and divine intervention.
When one functions in true priesthood which is after the order revealed in Christ, and reflected prophetically through Zadokian faithfulness and Melchizedek’s eternal priesthood, the spiritual atmospheres can shift. The priest becomes a vessel through whom God’s movement, mercy, and life are released into every dimension.
2. Priesthood Re-Harmonizes Situations
True priesthood brings things back into divine order. It does not increase confusion; it releases alignment. It does not deepen division; it carries reconciliation. Priestly ministry re-harmonizes the atmosphere by bringing heaven’s sound, order, mercy, and righteousness into places of disorder.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” - 2 Corinthians 5:18 (KJV)
A priestly person carries the ministry of reconciliation. They help restore what has been broken, realign what has been distorted, and bring people back into agreement with the heart of God.
3. The Failure of Prophecy in This Season Is Often the Failure to Understand Priesthood
Prophecy without priesthood can become performance, noise, or spiritual ambition. True prophecy must flow from intimacy with God, purity of heart, compassion for people, and submission to divine order.
“For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” - Revelation 19:10 (KJV)
If prophecy does not reveal the heart, nature, and testimony of Jesus, then it has lost its priestly foundation. Prophets must not only hear God; they must also carry His burden, His mercy, and His redemptive intention.
In this season, prophetic ministry must be purified through priesthood. The voice that speaks for God must first learn to minister unto God.
4. A Priest Stands Between God and the People, Between Death and Life
A priest is a mediator, an intercessor, and a burden bearer. The priest does not celebrate destruction over the people. The priest pleads for mercy, releases life, and ministers reconciliation.
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land…” - Ezekiel 22:30 (KJV)
The priestly calling is the ministry of standing in the gap. It is the sacred responsibility of refusing to abandon people to death, judgment, confusion, or destruction. A true priest carries the heart of God for restoration.
5. The Zadokian and Melchizedek Priesthood Is Measured by the Life of Jesus Christ
The highest measurement of priesthood is not Aaron, Zadok, or Melchizedek as isolated figures. The full revelation of priesthood is found in Jesus Christ. He is the faithful High Priest who stood between heaven and earth, life and death, judgment and mercy, so humanity could be reconciled to the Father.
“Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” - Hebrews 7:25 (KJV)
Jesus is the eternal intercessor. He opened the way to the heart of God through His sacrifice, His blood, His resurrection, and His everlasting priesthood. Every true priestly expression must be measured by His life, His humility, His holiness, His mercy, and His love.
6. The Kingdom of Heaven Is the Realm Where God’s Rule Is Already Established
The Kingdom of Heaven speaks of the realm where God’s will, authority, order, and government are already fully established. In heaven, God’s reign is not contested. His word is obeyed, His glory is manifest, and His will is complete.
“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” - Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
Jesus taught us to pray for the reality of heaven to be manifested in the earth. This means heaven is the pattern, and earth is the place where that pattern must be expressed.
7. The Kingdom of God Is the Life and Rule of God Expressed Through Us on Earth
The Kingdom of God is God’s reign becoming visible and active through yielded vessels. It is the life of God expressed through His people so that His rule, righteousness, peace, power, and authority can be seen in the earth.
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Romans 14:17 (KJV)
We are called to release the reality of Heaven so the Kingdom of God can be demonstrated around us. As we submit to God’s rule within us, His reign begins to be seen through us.
The Kingdom is not only a message we preach; it is a life we carry. Through obedience, prayer, holiness, love, power, and priestly alignment, Heaven becomes visible on earth.
