We are lucky to have acquired some sculptures by Josefina Aguilar Alcántara! Her work is distinct for their rich expressions and human warmth. In the late 1970s, former U.S. Vice President Nelson Rockefeller discovered her work during a trip to Oaxaca. He became a major patron, launching her into international fame. Her masterpieces are permanently housed in major institutions like The Mexican Museum in San Antonio, the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, and Philadelphia's Magic Gardens.
