I'd like your opinion on something.

As most of us know, clothing sizes have changed drastically over the years. A small in 1970 is an xl now. Also, quite a few clothes were handmade or altered years ago.

My question is: When you are shopping for vintage clothing, would you rather it be by size (sort of), or type (tee shirts, blouses, sleeveless, etc.) knowing you kind of have to guess at the size or try it on?

I want to get the fall out, and cull the old stuff, and figured while I do that I may reorganize the clothing as well to make it more shopper friendly.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

This is today's project. I have been an avid collector / frequent auction purchaser / vintage hoarder for a very long time. I used to buy stuff from auctions in Louisville because you could find cool things you just don't see a lot around here. My extremely tolerate parents would trek around and pick up and store my winnings. So much so my dear ol dad had to build an extension on to his garage to hold my treasures. (Sorry dad.)

I pick up as much as I can stuff into my car every time I visit (which is not often enough). Anyway, it is truly like Christmas because I have NO CLUE what is in each box, just I know it must be great for me to buy it.

Come on in this week and see what I unboxed. You never know.

To all my sewing enthusiasts: I'm trying to help out a friend that wants to sell a couple of her parents prized antique sewing machines. The ones I know about are a gorgeous Singer cabinet model44, 1910, a Featherweight No 221K1 and a 1910 Model 27. She also has a lot a sewing books, etc.

I DO NOT HAVE THESE ITEMS IN THE SHOP. Please message me and I can give you her #. You only have about 48 hours or so to take advantage of these treasures. Thanks for helping me help her, and if you know someone that is interested, please pass it on.
