Lately, I’ve been archiving photos and came across this particular Italian model who was the first one down the runway in my Milan show.

Chloe asked if she could go out introducing the line doing a flip. She said the audience seemed like they were ready to fall asleep since it was mid show. I asked her to practice a couple of times in the courtyard in front of me first and I’d make up my mind. She was fine and the denim was stretchy.

Designer, Betsey Johnson, was known for doing this during her shows, as well as the splits.

It just makes me laugh to think about that moment, because it still could’ve gone very wrong.

I get obsessed and fall down a rabbit hole when I discover unlimited uses for things others don't value or have donated possibly because of its imperfect state. This season's obsession is vintage linens, handkerchiefs and tablecloths.

Wedding Gown Refashion

Mom’s 1940 gown was refashioned into 4 handbags for her daughters and 9 ornaments for her granddaughters.

She is gone, but her memory lives on through these momentos from her wedding gown, vintage photos and costume jewelry.

I was so honored her daughter trusted me to bring this project to life for their upcoming family reunion.

The gift bags were important too. Presentation matters! They were created from wallpaper samples.
