Brewnique

Brewnique The official home of Hop Beerings. Upcycled jewelry and goods.

Brewnique Independent Craft Gear is a small business based in the mountains of Colorado bringing a fresh, unique, and fun perspective to beer-related gear from jewelry to clothing. Brewnique was founded by Dev Adams, also known as Miss Lupulin, an Advanced Cicerone, writer, and artist. Focusing mostly on saving items that would normally be discarded, the journey to Brewnique started with upcycled

earrings (called Beerings) made out of craft beer cans, and has recently branched out into upcycling clothing.

Years ago, my dear friend watch the while we were out of town for a beer fest. Nox decided that a corncob that was securely stored in her lunch bag sounded like a mighty tasty treat and chomped it right down. She spent the morning giving him hydrogen peroxide while begging him to please barf up the offending vegetable core. He was a husky so, naturally, he chose to do anything but what she asked. He ended up expelling the cob safely, but I'm pretty sure my friend was scarred for life.
🌽
When Nox died at the beginning of this month, she sent us a care package from . That level of thoughtfulness, especially because she knows how much I adore good (nay, great) rolls and soup made me feel so seen and, therefore, loved. Although I am a bit sad she didn't choose a corn chowder πŸ˜‚
🍲
As a thank you, I drew this Perro de Colima-inspired portrait of Nox and his ill-begotten corn. I hope it brings her a giggle and reminds her that friendship may sometimes be messy, but it's also beautiful. I am so beyond lucky to have friends like her.

I'm doing THREE markets at awesome breweries over the next week! Thursday at , Friday at (21+ ❀️), and Sunday at !
🍻
I have plenty of inventory of Beerings, mini Beerings, Beering badges, salvaged bone art, and some new goodies! As always, I'll also make customs if you're looking for something different. You can also DM me for customs (last order date is the 15th for shipping things).
πŸ“ͺ
I hope folks can make it out to support all of the great, local artists and small business owners who are trying to make the world a little more magical (and keep the bills paid).

Did you know that only around 10-14% of every dollar you spend with a large, national chain or online stays in your local economy?
πŸͺ™
If that doesn't sit well with you, don't fret! There is something you can do to directly support your local community. Shop with local, small businesses where 60-75% of your money stays in the community!
πŸ’΅
An easy way to support multiple small businesses at once is coming to artisan markets at breweries. You can shop for unique, fun, handmade goods while drinking locally made beer! Wins all around.
πŸ†
Here are the upcoming markets where you can grab some great gifts (for yourself or others) like original and mini Beeringsβ„’, Beering badges, objects de arte, and some very special, custom items I'm premiering for the first time. All goodies are crafted by me from salvaged, rescued, and upcycled items, which makes each piece special for you and for the earth.

From my Miss Lupulin page:

I refuse to call it AI "art". In professional settings I call it AI-created visualizations because it makes people actually think about what it really is. In non-professional settings I call it AI fart (fake art) thanks to a brilliant netizen.

Support real artist who actually create new things with their skull jello, not AI that is incapable of creating anything truly unique. AI farts only serve to homogenize our world - notice how all AI comics look similar? And as we hurtle towards Singularity, we must retain our humanity and our beautiful diversity which is best reflected through our various forms of art.

Who did it better: Me or the robot? Cool, more Pints and Panels art stolen by AI. This sucks. And it’s only going to get worse. PLEASE reject using AI for art.

A wonky drawing of New Zealand IPA at with the reflection of a coaster. Not thrilled about the results, but not horrified, either. Anyways, a great way to kick off week.

Catching up with posting. The prompt was "shadow" which has an interesting history in my life, but I chose to try drawing a human (terrifying) and dog with some sort of foreshortened perspective (yikes).
