The name of the quilting pattern on this one is “fernery’ and it is very appropriate. I always like using minky or fleece as backing. The dimension in the quilting is beautiful.

The quilt's colors bring summer to mind. Think lemonade, sunshine, watermelon, picnics and children playing outside.

I don’t do custom quilting very often but this request came from a special lady. She hand embroidered the lighthouse blocks and did not want the quilting over the top of the embroidery work. I stitched around it and did a different design in the pieced blocks. Then did custom in the borders. I love how it came out and hope she does to.

I love the bright fabrics in these two quilts. I don’t often use them in my own quilts so it’s a joy when customers bring them to me to finish.
