DTF Town FAQ Part 7: What Went Wrong With My DTF Transfers?

Sometimes, things can go wrong with your DTF prints. We're here to help prevent that.

1. Bad Design
A low resolution image with a background will never look good. Be aware that AI cannot give you a print ready file—even when you ask for a transparent background, AI will likely distort the image. A transparent, 300 dpi graphic will give you better results.

2. Wrong Temperature
When pressing your DTF transfer, make sure the temperature is 140°C. Too low, and the transfer will stick and tear. Too high, and the transfer will melt.

3. Not Flat
Failing to iron the garment flat before pressing can result in distorted and torn transfers.
