When I’m not at a thrift store or sprucing my booth, I like to putter around the raised garden beds out back. Everything that got planted, got planted late (mid-late June), but despite this, my first ever sunflowers and fireball pumpkins sprouted from seeds and flourished! The pumpkin seeds were scooped out of a nice specimen grown on my brother’s farm last year while the sunflower seeds were in a sun faded paper packet. It’s so rewarding to see what grows!

Over the past 20 years I’ve sourced and sold many, many copper culinary molds. Copper washed or solid copper doesn’t matter, they’re pretty for use and display. And I’ve seen all shapes and sizes: rings, turbans, crowns, shamrocks, hearts, stars… you name it, I’ve seen it. But this strawberry was a thrift store find and the first I have ever come across. 4 cup capacity. Just sitting there on a shelf just waiting for me. At least that’s how I think about things I find. My daughter-in-law thinks they find me. Either way, it’s coming to booth 501 at the Ohio Valley Antique Mall sometime this week.
