Hello Farmington and Divine Footwear fans!
For those of you that new Tammy, her family, or were just locals who valued a local shoe store that carries comfortable products, The Shoe Guy is here to continue providing comfortable Footwear to Farmington and her surrounding community.
Some of you may know me, Andre, as Treasurer and Coach for the Western Maine United Soccer Club’s GREATEST U12 BOYS TEAM IN THE HISTORY OF this upcoming fall, and some of you may know me from delivering your Walmart orders day in and day out for the past couple years. Most don’t know that I come from over 15 years of Orthopedic/Comfort Footwear, having run multiple shoe stores in Southern Maine prior to Covid known as The Walking Company. There I was a Certified Fit Specialist, Manager of Training and Store Development, and a Training Store Business Manager. Helping people walk in comfort has been a lifelong passion of mine and I’m excited to bring my knowledge to our community so that we can live healthier, happier lives in motion. Soon I’ll have the ability to analyze your arches and feet, provide customization options such as orthotics, and work with you and your back hip/knee/foot ailments to ensure you get the perfect fit.
I’m asking for some patience during this time of transition. Instead of closing for weeks while I apply to vendors as the new owner so that I can order products, I am staying open as there are lots of shoes here and I can still help a lot of you walk, run, work, and hike in comfort with what I have in stock now.
Keep tuned in for updates as I’ll share my progress getting in new technology, new brands, and more shoes! I’ll also share as I look to transform the inside of the store over the next several weeks as The Shoe Guy comes alive.
