16 years. What a celebration of dedication. 🎉 I always wondered how long I would make it💓 Well I successfully completed…..
•16 years
•192 months
•5,840 days
•140,160 hours
•8,409,600 minutes
•504,576,000 seconds
I’ve received many blessings through my days of Owning a business in a small small town like Fayette, Alabama. I even consider the Blood, Sweat, and Tears through the years as blessings. For they have made me the person that I am today. …… Through 16 years, I’ve experienced it all. And I will whole heartedly tell you nothing about it was easy. •BUT• I accomplished every dream I set out to do with my business, and for that I am grateful!
I reflect back on all of my memories through 16 years, and The fondest memory I have was walking in the bank at 20 years old and sitting down to take out a small loan to chase my dreams. Because Mr. Greg and Mr. Robertson believed in me, I was able to BELIEVE IN MYSELF! Those two men will forevermore have a special place in my heart!

When someone asks what does it take to run a business I turn right around and ask them well, do you want the short answer, or the long honest answer?
Nothing about it is easy. Nothing about it is glamorous, and you definitely can’t be a weak man/woman. I started preparing myself very early on in life to make sure I had the GRIT that it took to make it. I started working retail when I was just 15 years old. There was absolutely no doubt of what I wanted to do.
I spent the next 4 years cramming 5 1/2 years of college into 4 short years. No summers off, no semester breaks in college, and I came home and worked every holiday season in retail.
So -I knew you had to work the long crummy hours, work the weekends, work the holidays, and you had to have a mindset of a •beast• to make it. When everyone is off with their family, you are working away from yours.
In August of 2006 I graduated Auburn with a Degree in Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production Management. I also graduated with a Minor in Business and Associates in Science. That same month I opened Sassy Lass, Steve Graduated College, we bought a house, he started his first Teaching job, and we got married! I knew then, that if our two souls could make it through all of that at once, -we could make it through ANYTHING ❤️
Through the last 16 years we’ve been blessed with two children, I went from one store to two! I rocked two stores for 5 years, my husband went back to school for his second masters in Instructional Leadership and become a principal! When his roles at school changed and become more demanding I chose my family and went back to one store! ❤️
That’s how a marriage works, you give and you take and you never stand in the way of your hopes and dreams for one another 💫
I say this with excitement and no tears, at this point in our lives I’m choosing my family again and deciding to close my storefront.
When my child went to his 9th Grade Registration it hit me like a ton of bricks, -I only have 4 years left with him at home. I don’t want to miss another thing! My children need me more than that store needs me.
I’m excited to continue chasing new opportunities that have been presented to me.
God paves the way -ALWAYS!
And HE promotes you in HIS TIME 🌟
To my community, my customers, and my friends who have become FAMILY -Thank you! My heart is FULL!
Tentatively our last storefront day will be August 31st!
💫God’s Speed Ahead! 💫
