Labor Day weekend took me to the tiny town of Hudson, North Carolina, near my hometown—and this antique store, Dead People's Stuff Antiques & Emporium, had three floors packed with so much vintage goodness that I didn’t know where to look first! I couldn’t possibly show it all, but I did leave with the cutest little ghost. 👻 What would you have searched for first?

Before you pay those outrageous prices for vintage blow molds, check Walmart! 🎃 I found brand-new blow molds, plus the same plastic pumpkins I’ve been buying at Goodwill for $2–$3—and Walmart had them for only $2! Would you buy new or keep hunting for vintage?

I didn’t let my age-or my full-time job- stop me from going for something I dreamed about. At 54, I created Sammy’s Vintage Nook. I quickly learned that having a small business also means showing up online and becoming a contact creator.
I didn’t know what I was doing it first, but I taught myself through practice, mistakes, and simply refusing to give up. I’m still learning, growing, and trying to make it work because it’s never too late to bet on yourself and go for it! 🥰

Part 2 🎃 I’ve made a few of these vintage-style pumpkins, but this one might be my favorite yet! I started painting in daylight and didn’t finish until after dark—but the transformation was worth it. What do you think of this one? Follow along because I’m definitely not finished creating! 🧡

Of course I went straight to the Christmas section! 🎄 I found a few goodies, passed on some overpriced yellow glass—and then, right before checkout, I realized my finds were cracked. 😩 So I left empty-handed! Would you have put them back too?
