Seams to Fit By Trudie - Sewing and Alterations My name is Trudie Hedrick, and with over 45 years of experience in sewing, I decided to follow my passion and open my own shop - Seams To Fit! Hello All!

My name is Trudie Hedrick. I began sewing when I was in 4-H many years ago, and have been doing it now for over 45 years. I have such a strong passion for the art, and for that reason, I have decided to open my own shop for sewing, alterations and crafts! Although my shop is in Walton, IN, my home is in Flora, IN, and I am willing to meet clients there as well as in Lafayette, IN at a shop I am w

orking closely with. I am available for alterations, custom made dresses for any occassion, and a variety of craft projects of any sort on request. Please have a look at the photos in the albums for a small glimpse of some of the projects I have done, and look back on occasion for more as we continue to add to the page. Additionally, I hope to begin a series of craft classes/sewing lessons beginning this summer (2016) if enough interest is expressed! Ashley celebrated her wedding day this weekend. I took her dress in at the shoulders and the sides, removed the lace and reset it after hemming. She chose a wristlet to hold her train up during the reception. She chose a cathedral veil with beading around the edge. Beautiful bride! Congratulations Ashley!💕

It’s been quite a long time since I’ve posted on this page! I’ve been posting most all of my alterations work on Trudie’s Bridal and Formalwear page. If you have prom or wedding alteration needs be sure to call and book your appointments. Thank you Emily for sharing your beautiful wedding day picture! Congratulations!! Emily’s dress originally had long sleeves, so we shortened them for a little cooler feel for a June wedding. Also the under layers of her dress went clear to the lace edge. We also cut that off even all around so she could have that light and airy look and feel for her outdoor wedding held at The Gathering Barn! Thank you Emily...you look gorgeous!! 💕

Gabi Hartley became a Mrs yesterday! We took up the sides and redid the lace and beadwork to give her a better fit at the bodice. Removed the lace trim at the bottom and hemmed her dress prior to reattaching the lace. Finished off with a bustle so she could dance the night away! Thank you Gabi for bringing your wedding gown to us! 💕
