Shop Assistant to Become Shop Manager

Our shop's fairy godmother, Susan is moving on to an exciting new chapter. While we are happy for her, she will be missed in the shop and has been a blessing and foundational part of Rose & Crown.

Some of you may know, I am expecting my first baby in the new year.💗 As the shop enters a new chapter with new responsibilities, we are looking for a shop assistant with the intention to become the shop's manager. My hope is to find a long term addition to our team.

Kind, warm and grounded who enjoys customer service
Knowledge of herbs and herbal medicine
Detail Oriented/Strong Organizational Skills
Proficient writing skills
Enjoys writing/creating thoughtful social media content
Enjoys being creative and has a good eye for taking photos
Self Motivated
Ability to cover additional shifts as needed from time-to-time
Enjoys being part of a small team

content creation, please share social media experience if that is a strong point for you. Hourly wage ranges depending on experience.

The shop is open seven days a week from 11-6 pm. Training for this position is available immediately, starting at three days/week, with a set schedule (subject to change in the future) of Tuesdays-Thursdays. Application deadline is Saturday, September 12th, 2026.

Location: Garden next to Rose & Crown Apothecary

Gather around the table, together we are going to make and formulate a herbal first-aid salve. Sarah will pass around fresh plants, talk about their properties, share stories, as well as demonstrate different infused herbal oils. As a group, we will decide which herbs resonate and create a unique summer solstice salve, which of course, everyone attending the workshop can take a sample home. Seating will be first come-first served starting at 9:45. Even though it's summer solstice, wearing cozy layers is recommended, just in case.

As a proprietress, it is important for me to align this business with my personal code of ethics. Therefore, the shop will be closed Friday, January 30th in solidarity with the National Strike. The current events being witnessed are disturbing and saddening. I am taking comfort in the caring and compassionate interactions I have with people each day. We are taking this time to reflect on meaningful ways we can support the well-being of our community.
