🌟🍎Our Vikings are wrapping up the school year with win after win: We're super excited to share that one of our soon-to-be grads, Evania Regas, was awarded the Golden Apple Scholarship! The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program that provides high school seniors, college freshmen, and sophomores with up to $23,000 in financial assistance, paid summer institutes, extensive classroom experience, and job placement assistance in exchange for a five-year teaching commitment.

📚Acceptance of the scholarship ensures the student plans to teach on a full-time basis for at least five years at an Illinois public, private, or parochial school considered a "School of Need" (or in a low-income area). Evania is headed to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Fall to study Secondary Special Education!

Hi Friends, Happy Friday!

I know this is a busy weekend for many with Easter around the corner, but wanted to take a minute to encourage and acknowledge a wonderful person & business in our community.

is celebrating their 1 year anniversary over at Shops on Sterling.
Have you ever met someone who upon getting to know, see that they’re doing exactly what they were put on this earth to do? This girl right here, is the textbook definition of just that! The dedication, creativity, & overall passion she puts into her work is beyond impressive! Additionally, she’s a literal ray of sunshine & has added so much to my life, the building, & our community.
Often times when I think about her journey/leap of faith in opening a business, I feel bad about her timing. This last year has been SO HARD for not just small business owners, but for most people in our country. She’s yet to even experience what a good/normal year looks like in our amazing area. With that being said, please pop in and say hello to her tomorrow and try to keep her in mind when you are looking for services that she provides! Javanah is truly a gem of human that everyone should know!❤️

Happy Monday Friends! Hope everyone had a great weekend! As spring approaches, I'm reminded of the closet purge I love to hate every year. It's my least favorite part of seasonal change, but it's so satisfying to clear out the things that no longer speak to you, or in my case, fit. Since we moved a few months ago, I technically already completed this task but now I'm on a mission to find my warm weather clothes - please let them not be in that 5 ton dumpster we rented prior to moving!
In the meantime, I'm excited to share some new store arrivals with you, and there's more to come this week!

Hi! My name is Matti and I have lived in Homewood my whole life. Growing up I was very active in a wide variety of extracurriculars throughout my time in Homewood School District 153 and at Homewood-Flossmoor High school, as well as programs at the Homewood Public Library. I have always been interested in the arts and love a wide variety of arts and crafts from painting to graphic design/social media to learning crochet and now jewelry making. After completing my bachelors degree in psychology and sociology at Carthage College, I have now returned to the Homewood-Flossmoor area and work at Parker Junior High. In summer of 2025 I started making jewelry and now have an Etsy store and Facebook business page as well! I love being able to make fun and festive jewelry that allows people to express themselves and their interests!
