✨ Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Cappy! ✨

Cappy has been with us since the beginning, and as she's volunteered she's watched the Baby Shop grow busier and busier, but what she says amazes her the most is the generosity of our Floyd community. She's seen families who once came to shop, return later with donations, creating a beautiful cycle of village care.

When she's not at the Baby Shop, Cappy enjoys gardening 🌿 She has a magical green thumb and grows the most luscious plants for sale! You can also find Cappy cooking, reading, drawing, and her favorite; spending time with her nineteen grandchildren, whose ages range from 1 to 22.

When asked to describe the Baby Shop in three words, Cappy chose: Colorful 🌈 Boutique 👗 Welcoming 🤗

Cappy wishes she had a community resource like the Baby Shop when her children were little. "Kids grow so fast, and having a place like this helps families save money."

Her dream? That every community could have a free Baby Shop.

Thank you, Cappy, for the kindness, warmth, and heart you share with everyone who walks through our doors. We're so grateful you're part of our CHIP Baby Shop family 💗

One of our CHIP mamas asked us such a great question today!

She has several jars of baby food left over and, since she's on a budget, she'd love to use as much of it as she can before donating the rest to the Baby Shop. Thank you, CHIP Mama 💙💚

Dinosaur Challenge Accepted!

Our amazing young volunteers took on the challenge of creating the perfect dinosaur outfits, and they absolutely nailed it! Watch the video to see what they picked for one little dino girl and one little dino boy 💚

Floyd families can shop for FREE once each month for children's clothing and essentials, newborn through 5T.

Last week was a success with our new Care Package Service!

We are so happy and excited we can offer this to busy families 🥰

If you're unable to visit the Baby Shop, simply call or text us during Baby Shop hours and tell us: Your child's clothing size, Diaper or pull-up size, Shoe size, and any special requests like children's books, formula, ECT..

Our volunteers will do the shopping for you and put together a personalized care package. We'll label it with your name and have it ready for you to pick up later that same day, after hours.

Families may request one care package per month, just like a regular Baby Shop visit.

A friendly reminder: Care Package requests must be made during Baby Shop hours - call or text during open hours, make sure you have confirmation, then swing by later to pick up your package by our front door.

We know it can be hard for some families to visit the Baby Shop during our open hours. Work schedules, appointments, and life can make it difficult to stop by when we're open.

Because of that, we're introducing Care Packages!
