🌬️ Block Party Update — New Date!

Due to the poor air quality from the smoke blowing in from the Canadian fires, tonight’s Thursday Block Party has been rescheduled to next Thursday, July 16th.

The kids are extra excited because this gives them one more week to prep their bonus pop‑up shop: The Foragers Next Door!
They foraged every single black raspberry themselves and turned them into their foraging friends black raspberry fridge jam, along with bags of their homemade breakfast granola. It’s wholesome, handmade, and straight from the woods to your table.

I’ll be there with all my handmade goods — hidden message dishcloths, wandering dude plant starts + cozies, flower frogs, wandering color bombs, dish towel holders, and wandering cup cozies.

Thank you for understanding, and I hope everyone stays safe and takes it easy with the air quality today.

Hey friends — it’s been a minute.
This year has thrown a lot my way between medical stuff and life stuff, and my little business page ended up taking a back seat for a while. I’ve missed creating, sharing, and connecting with you all, and I’m finally feeling ready to jump back in.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be vending at the Thursday Block Party on Main on the 18th!

And even more exciting…
🌱 The Wandering Stitch Market is thrilled to add Wandering Dudes to our shelves, and desks, and walls, and ceilings, and windows… they’re really perfect just about anywhere.

I’ve been working on a whole line of jars, shelf sitters, hanging cozies, wall hangers, and even some fun “dress‑up” cozies — all in a variety of colors to match your home décor or add a bright pop of color to any space — can’t wait for you to see them in person.

Thanks for sticking with me through the chaos. It feels good to be creating again.

Yesterday was ✨ Make It Monday! ✨

This week’s request came from my 10‑year‑old, who wanted to surprise her friend for her birthday. She asked me to make an axolotl and a tropical fish buddy — and I couldn’t resist.

The axolotl’s subtle color shifts create the coolest natural camouflage, and the tropical fish has a yellow that actually glows in the dark, making the green pop in the sweetest way. Handmade magic for a birthday surprise.

✨ Work‑In‑Progress Wednesday ✨

Life has been a whirlwind lately, but I’ve been steadily stitching away on this cozy wool hoodie for a customer. This beauty is worked up in the alpine stitch, which gives it that gorgeous, textured look I’m absolutely loving.

It’s made with 100% wool — breathable, warm, and perfect for all seasons, especially those chilly Michigan winters. I’m on track to finish the second sleeve and add the ribbing next week, and then it’ll be ready to head off to its new home.

Feeling really excited about how this one is coming together. Handmade magic takes time, but wow… it’s worth it.

✨ Make‑It Monday! ✨
I took a little break from crocheting Christmas presents to whip up something fun for the kids — a full DIY firing range!

I built a target wall that auto‑resets, two moving targets that flip when they’re hit, and a big bullseye to go along with some of the gifts they’re getting this year. Over the next couple days after work, I’ll be decorating everything and creating a point system so they can challenge each other for high scores.

Can’t wait to see the chaos… I mean friendly competition… unfold!
