This is not my normal post.
This page is really all about the store, workshops, everything happening in Historic Folsom.
But a couple of weeks ago my mom, who lives with us, wasn’t feeling well. We ended up at Sutter Roseville Emergency.
After a lot of testing, we were moved to Sutter Downtown for surgery. After initial recovery, we were then moved to Acute Rehab at Sutter Roseville. Mom is doing really well and working very hard to get some endurance back. Learning to walk with the walker again, get weaned off of oxygen, all the things that keep her moving around at home.
All of this has delayed her Chemotherapy, which has its issues too.
Some of you might not know that my mom is deaf and as a CODA I have been her interpreter also while we have been figuring out what is happening. Once she was moved to Acute Rehab a couple of days ago, we were able to step back a little and think about something other than mom.
It’s been difficult for all of us, and honestly I feel like I have to work on building my endurance too😳.
It is shocking to me how exhausted we are; and our complete inability to think of anything other than what do we do for mom next.
We cannot thank the team enough for all that they did while we were unavailable. The girls were amazing and the store looks fantastic. We want to thank all of you who found out what was happening and helped out.❤️
We are forever grateful to the whole Sutter hospital group - they have been amazing, thorough, kind, and supportive.
Mom has a long way to go still, and we’re not really sure what is next.
My posts might be a little more sporadic, I have to get a rhythm again. I know my creativity is not the same. I’m catching up on custom jobs, content, workshops…so much!
Thank you all for your support and understanding while we navigate recovering through this difficult time.
