Made the is one 100% from scratch 🌟

I was given a TikTok as a reference to make this Magic Eye looking Mickey Mouse dress. (Yes, that ages me)
I made my own pattern, slight adjustments with a fitting, and got it done in crunch time for a very important event.
She was so happy with it and it looked so cute on her.

This was a satisfying task for me because I generally am just asked to do alterations so it was nice to put some other skills to use and make a whole dress with only raw fabric and my understanding of construction.
Also, super satisfying how happy she was with it 💜

First time going off of an ai image and the client was super happy with my work. Too bad real life fabric doesn’t stay as wrinkle free as digital. 😄

Replacing a missing hook and eye is a small thing, but it really does make a difference with helping the zipper stay put...

This side zipper was lower than I’ve ever seen on a dress and it made it sooo hard for her to pull it over and get in and out so I took it out and moved it up, opening under the arm. Way better now and no more fighting the dress!

It was an interesting fix because it was definitely not constructed to have the zipper placed where I put it, but I made it work including having to hand stitch the lining to it because it wouldn’t work with the machine on one of the sides.

I helped my daughter and her friends make pioneer aprons for a church youth activity. They did all the sewing themselves and did a great job, especially for it being their first time ever really sewing. They were very happy with the outcome 😊

10/10 would teach them sewing again 🌟
