Don’t get us wrong…we love fixing your outdoor gear.🪡🏕️

Sometimes there’s just a lot of material that comes with it. This Marmot tent needed its rain fly window fixed, and fix it we shall. Stiched and sealed to keep that rain out.

Everyone knows we need all the rain on the ground that we can get right now.🌦️

Let us know what outdoor gear we can fix for you in the comments👇

Somewhere around mile 7, headed up to American Lakes, we stopped counting the miles and started counting the trash.

A crushed can. Someone’s dog bag left on a tree stump. A gel packet. Some microplastic. All of it went into the Waste Basket 2.0 clipped to our dog’s leash — our little upcycled trail companion made from reclaimed tent material that didn’t even know it was on a 10-mile alpine hike.

The high alpine doesn’t need our leftovers. Clip one on. Pick it up. Keep loving the outdoors.

Did you get to check out our feature in Discover NOCO Magazine for the Summer Issue?

Kelsie and Adrienne did such an amazing job telling the story of how Upcycled Outdoor got its start, what drives our passion, and where we are heading with our little company with big ideas.

If you live around or are visiting Northern Colorado, definitely pick up a copy. We are so excited to share with you what drives us to do what we do.

We’re still away from the shop for a couple of days recharging. You can take the repair crew away from the yarn, but you can’t take the yarn away from the repair crew.

We’ll be back on Wednesday fully ready to repair your gear and get you all zipped up.

This gusset tear almost cost someone their favorite piece of gear.🧊🧗

These pants had been on every climb , every ice wall, every accent — and one tear almost ended it all.

Instead of tossing it, the owner wanted them brought back to life. Good as new. Ready for the next adventure.
Because your gear has a story. And that story isn’t over yet. ⛰️⛏️

Its’s Earth Day and we want to celebrate everyone who is making a difference!🌎♻️🤘

We always strive to leave every place we visit better than we found them. Be it a cleanup, a repair, or feel good high five to nature.

It’s our goal to utilize as much upcycled fabric in our bags as possible to keep it out of the landfill, as well as repair as much outdoor gear as possible to keep it going.

We have only one Earth, one home, so let’s keep it healthy.

Repairing your gear really does help the environment. Here’s why…

There’s no way around the fact that we have become a throw away society. The textile industry alone contributes to almost 92 million tons of waste that ends up in landfills globally per year.

A lot of this fabric is thrown away with minimal repairs needed. What if the thought paradigm shifted? What if we went back to being a repair society?

Repairing your gear cuts down greatly on the amount of fabric we put into landfills. Plenty of gear has much more adventure left in it, but a broken zipper, or a fabric tear will get it a non-stop trip to the dump. Repairs like this can keep a piece of gear going for years, even decades.

Sometimes we repair gear just to get it to second hand consignment outdoor shops like The Gearage Outdoor Sports
This gets quality and well performing outdoor gear into a much more affordable space for those who may not be able to afford to buy it new.

If it’s to damaged to fix…we upcycle it! This is how we started and how we will always think. Turning the linear fabric cycle into a circular one. Once a piece of gear is past repair, we upcycle it into a reusable bag. This gives the material a whole new life and new purpose.

We can help the environment by doing our part to turn outdoor materials into a circular system. Come by our booth at the Sustainable Living Association sustainability market on April 18th Odell Brewing Fort Collins. Let us know what kind of outdoor gear you need repaired and check some of our upcycled bags.

We can help.
