Its’s Earth Day and we want to celebrate everyone who is making a difference!🌎♻️🤘

We always strive to leave every place we visit better than we found them. Be it a cleanup, a repair, or feel good high five to nature.

It’s our goal to utilize as much upcycled fabric in our bags as possible to keep it out of the landfill, as well as repair as much outdoor gear as possible to keep it going.

We have only one Earth, one home, so let’s keep it healthy.

Repairing your gear really does help the environment. Here’s why…

There’s no way around the fact that we have become a throw away society. The textile industry alone contributes to almost 92 million tons of waste that ends up in landfills globally per year.

A lot of this fabric is thrown away with minimal repairs needed. What if the thought paradigm shifted? What if we went back to being a repair society?

Repairing your gear cuts down greatly on the amount of fabric we put into landfills. Plenty of gear has much more adventure left in it, but a broken zipper, or a fabric tear will get it a non-stop trip to the dump. Repairs like this can keep a piece of gear going for years, even decades.

Sometimes we repair gear just to get it to second hand consignment outdoor shops like The Gearage Outdoor Sports
This gets quality and well performing outdoor gear into a much more affordable space for those who may not be able to afford to buy it new.

If it’s to damaged to fix…we upcycle it! This is how we started and how we will always think. Turning the linear fabric cycle into a circular one. Once a piece of gear is past repair, we upcycle it into a reusable bag. This gives the material a whole new life and new purpose.

We can help the environment by doing our part to turn outdoor materials into a circular system. The fans have spoken!!🗣️

New Waste Baskets are being made out of upcycled tents, and we will start availability off at the Sustainable Living Association Earth Day Fort Collins Celebration on April 18th at Odell Brewing Fort Collins.

There will also be a river cleanup, so we will be using a few of our Dumpsters to provide some “Zero Waste Added” action to the cleanup.♻️🏞️

We’re excited to get these bags back in stock, and they will be available again on the website soon.

Double vision?

We recently got two of the same model puffy jackets in for repair and we just couldn’t resist a twinning post.

Both jackets had full zipper replacements and the orange puffy needed a bit of patching.

We love getting gear like this dropped off at the shop, so we can fix it up, and get it out for many more adventures to come.

Who doesn’t like a little vintage vibe?

When a customer brought us his beloved and very well adventured mid-layer to get some holes in the elbows repaired, we decided to add a little vintage vibe with tech fabric elbow pads.

Now he’s back in action, and now with sweet elbow pads, he can be a professor of the backcountry.
