The three dresses I was working with on my recent project! They belong to the baby’s great grandmother, great aunt, and grandmother. Two of these wonderful women have passed, and working with dresses that held so much meaning in their lives was an amazing experience. Every piece I made included bits from all three garments. I feel so honored to have been trusted with such a special project!

I’ve been working so hard on this transformation dress the last several weeks and I am so proud of how lovely it turned out! I started with her mom’s gorgeous ballgown, she picked our “Brooklyn” style and I just ran with it! 8 hours of appliqué, 12 hours just to take apart the dress from its original glory to begin piecing together this puzzle! On top of that, there is excess seam allowance built into every nook and cranny of this dress to make sure it will fit multiple of their kiddos! It was a challenge, but I adore this First Communion look! Contact me for your own transformation (link in bio!)
