Hi everyone! I thought it was finally time to properly introduce myself. ๐
Iโm Jacoba, the new owner of Belle Starr.
For those who may not know me yet, Iโm a mom, wife, and longtime lover of vintage/Antique treasures!
My connection with Beth actually goes all the way back to the very beginning. When Belle Starr first opened in 2010, my mom rented a booth there, and I started out helping haul junk into the original location. Funny how life comes full circle.
Over the years, Belle Starr became more than just a store to me. It became a place full of creativity, connection, history, and community. All the things I love most about small business.
When the opportunity came to continue Belle Starrโs story, it felt equal parts exciting, humbling, and meant to be.
I know transitions can feel bittersweet, especially in a place people hold close to their hearts. I want you to know how deeply I respect what Beth built over the last 16 years. My hope is to honor that foundation while also bringing a little of my own personality and vision into this next chapter.
Youโll still find the warmth, creativity, treasures, and community Belle Starr has always been known for, and I canโt wait to continue growing alongside all of you.
A few fun facts about me:
โข Current vintage obsession: vintage pottery & LE Smith Glass
โข One of my favorite hobbies is woodworking. I love building because it calms my mind and feels self-soothing to me
โข Iโm constantly rearranging furniture and creating new spaces. Styling and design are some of my favorite creative outlets, and Iโm excited to start bringing weekly lobby vignettes to the shop
โข My go-to coffee order is a frozen Milky Way from Sweet Bay โ๏ธ
Thank you for all the kindness and encouragement already shown to me. Iโm so excited for whatโs ahead and canโt wait to meet more of you. Stop in, say hello, and introduce yourself if you havenโt already. ๐
