You know whe
n they say it's really easy to make decisions for others but very hard to make them for yourself? I was in the same situation, it was something I always wanted to do. It was something I always told myself I would do, but I just couldn't ignite the fire to go out and do it. I was 22 years old when my brother approached me with the idea of helping me start my own clothing boutique. At first I questioned why he would want to do that or even more I wondered what in the heck would make him want to sell women's clothing. Then he explained it something like this, if you Google "find a business idea", the first advice they give you is to think about a problem that needs fixed and then find a solution to fix that problem. Without him even saying anything I already knew where he was going with this. The problem was me, I have a SHOPPING PROBLEM and everybody knew it. Packages showed up at my door every single day, I shopped at every boutique in this country (well not really, but close). His solution to this problem would give me the ability to shop, style and sell the very looks I was already promoting for other companies. I owe a big thanks to him for pushing me, without that push there may have never been a Lane 201! An even bigger THANKS goes out to all of you for your support, because without you all there truly would be no Lane 201! I honestly could not be more thankful to each and every one of you for your support! I love searching for new, unique items and vendors to share with all of you. I hope you enjoy the style and feel we instill into each one of our outfits and pieces, you guys are truly our inspiration! So, where did the name Lane 201 come from? Well, during our decision process we were trying to find something that represented our family as well as the culture we wanted to instill in our business. This is when my father mentioned Lane 201, Lane 201 is actually the street name where our family lake house sits. Believe me when I say this, there is NO place in the world that represents our FAMILY and represents the CULTURE we want to create here at Lane 201!
