✨ PLAYER SPOTLIGHT ✨
Meet Sadie Mason! 💛
By day, Sadie is a pediatrician at Cook Children’s Hospital, caring for some of our community’s littlest patients. By night (and whenever she can sneak in a game), she’s a Mahjong enthusiast and one of the many wonderful faces that make The Mahj Clubhouse so special!
Sadie learned to play Mahjong right here at The Mahj Clubhouse through our Learner’s Mahj Series last fall—and she highly recommends it for anyone looking to learn the game.
Originally from Peachtree City, Georgia, Sadie moved to Fort Worth in August 2025 for work. Looking to learn Mahjong and meet new people in a new city, she found exactly that at TMCH.
“One of the best parts is that my best friends in Fort Worth are ladies I met on my very first day of the Learner’s Series!”
When asked what she loves most about Mahjong, Sadie said:
“My favorite things are One Bam Bird, ‘Cheers!’ and the friendships I’ve made. I also love that Mahjong makes me think a few steps ahead and be ready to pivot when someone else’s tiles throw a wrench in my plans.”
Favorite hands to play?
She’s loving the 2468 section on the new card, but says the Consecutive Run section will always have a special place in her heart.
We are so grateful to have players like Sadie in our community. Thank you for letting us spotlight you and for bringing your kindness, competitive spirit, and joy to the table! 💚
