When Bonnie looks at her duck, she sees hope.

Bonnie told me, “Cancer is hard, but there’s always hope.”

That one stayed with me.

In her photo, she’s standing in front of her Jeep holding her Breast Cancer Awareness Duck. But what she sees when she looks at that duck isn’t cancer.

She sees hope.

Not just for herself. For the millions of women who are facing the same journey.

A little pink duck can’t change a diagnosis. But it can be a reminder. That people care. That you’re not walking through it alone. That hope can still have a place in the middle of something very hard.

Bonnie called hers “this beautiful little reminder that there’s always hope.”
