So I had a customer call me today wondering why his item hadn't been shipped yet. His bid was $50 and his payment was $59.25 counting the 18.5% buyers premium that was advertised. The shipping isn't free and he figured that with a $50 bid and $9.24 in shipping that he had paid it all...as if there wasn't any buyers premium at all. Then after he asked to have his money refunded and I said no, he said that he'd be leaving a really nice post about us on Facebook. Libel and or defamation of character is a civil matter but it isn't one that a person should enter into unless they have been truly scammed or ripped off. He is paying no more than he agreed to pay from the beginning. We aren't ripping him off, if we were, then I would fully expect negative feedback but, since his issue is with himself (not reading the terms and conditions in numerous places available on the website or IN the catalog itself) because we cannot hold everyones hand. Matter of fact, I go through the terms and conditions of the auction with an audio feed going out about 5-7 minutes prior to the auction. There are no refunds unless the item is not as described in the photos. His item was packed and will be shipped after he paid the shipping. He may have found one for less money but we aren't Wal-Mart, this is a small business and I have already paid my consignor. We are as transparent as can be and even offer the floor bidders to come to the front to see how it all works. Thanks for listening and being one of our followers.
