June 6, 1944.
More than 156,000 Allied troops crossed the English Channel and landed on the beaches of Normandy. Many never made it home. Their courage changed the course of history and secured freedoms that generations would inherit.
Having the opportunity to walk the beaches of Normandy is something words simply cannot describe. Standing where so many young men landed under fire gives you a perspective no book, documentary, or photograph can fully capture. It is humbling, emotional, and unforgettable.
If you have the chance, put Normandy on your bucket list. It is more than a destination—it is a place of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
Today, we honor the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and resistance fighters who faced impossible odds and moved forward anyway.
Honor the fallen. Respect the sacrifice. Never forget what was paid for the freedoms we enjoy today.
