Got a new letter board and I'm putting it to use this weekend at Franklin's May Garden Mart! It's a bit colder than any of us hoped for but we're making the best of it. I'm in Fountain Park, near the fountain, today until 4 and tomorrow 11-4!

If you don't make it to Franklin this weekend, I have several shows coming up this summer- Art by the Falls in Chagrin Falls, OH; Art in the Wilds in Kane, PA; & Willoughby Arts Fest in Willoughby, OH. See you soon!

Printing lots of bees this week in preparation for Franklin Gardeners Association May Garden Mart this weekend! I'm so excited to be a part of this event for the very first time and hope that the gardeners will love all the bees and botanical themed prints I offer. Can't wait to see you there!! I'll be near the fountain in fountain Park on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. & Sunday, May 3rd from 11:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In just less than a week I'll be at my first show of the year! I'm so excited to be vending at May Garden Mart, Art by the Falls, and Art in the Wilds this year. See you there!

New block prints start long before the ink gets rolled on the block, or the first carve of the block begins. Experimentation is the key, knowing that the first drawing or painting may vary from the final result. I love to paint to get initial ideas out, and then it gets refined as I trace the painting with tracing paper. After the tracing is transferred to the block, more decisions, more refinement, more experimenting happens. What areas are negative space? How thick or thin will lines be? And oh yes, times where the carving tool slips for happy accidents & make it work moments.

I have a goal for 2026 to make more prints! It's simple, but I can get so lost in "production mode" in preparation for shows, I stop taking the time to work on new prints & new types of bags. I'm excited for all the ideas in my head that just need to get out and into the world this year!

Printing ferns today for an order and thought it was a perfect time to print botanicals in preparation for May Garden Mart in Franklin, on May 2 & 3!

2025 🎨 🧵 This year has FLOWN by like none other. There's been highs and lows and everything in-between. But we made it! Made some new art, gained new inspiration, was able to invest in new equipment, and I'm looking forward to all that 2026 brings!

I dropped off some towels at .goods today for your last minute Christmas shopping! If you, (like me! 🙈) can't believe we're already less than a week before Christmas- there's still time to shop local! Stop in any of these local shops to find a variety of local goods, alongside my work!

December 5 from 6 - 8 PM: Friday Night Preview Party (Tickets: $30)

December 6 from 9 - 11 AM: Early Bird Shopping (Tickets: $25)

December 6 from 11 AM - 6 PM: General Admission Shopping*

*indicates Pay-What-You-Can Tickets (free tickets available to those who need them)

Where: David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh

What to Expect: Shopping, Hands-On Handmade Arcade activities & live art demos, raffle baskets with maker-donated goods, a Personal Shopper Booth, a live DJ, a Gift Wrapping Station, food & drink available for purchase, and more!
