One of the things I like about living out here is our neighbor's animals. They aren't animals we plan on having, being mini horses and pygmy goats, so it is nice to be able to visit with them across a fence. The mini horses are too cute with a stiff forelock that sticks straight up. We have named the stallion Rock Star because he looks so much like an 80's rocker (we have no idea what his actual name is). Here are pictures are 3 of the mares. Grendle is fascinated with these funny looking dogs and they are pretty interested in him.

The Dragon Shawlet is finished! It is fabulous. I tried it on, but the angle of the selfie made the head (with a little stuffing) look ginormous. It's not really that fat. It closes by slipping the tail through a small flap on the back. Very adjustable. The pattern is by Cottontail and Whiskers made with Ice Magic yarn in Everglade. Last year's crocheted fall Poncho with Acorn Buttons.

This was a special order made last year. It was a lot of fun working with her to get just the right feel. The buttons were actually acorn caps from a live oak tree.
