The first (and where I got the name) was from a stage coach house just up the road on Fred Wilder Road. The stage coach house was run by McGhee's in the past and called The High House. The same stagecoach road runs directly behind this home on Long Mill Road to the old Long Mill bridge. When you see the house from the road, you are looking at the back of the house. This home was built in 1992. The
home design was edited by Penny McGhee from a standard architectural design that did not include a basement. The basement, the kitchen, the garage, the office, the washroom, the master bedroom closet and bath have been modified or added. The home is built into granite rock which was excavated during the build. The upstairs is a little over 2,000 sq. feet and the basement is around 1,800 sq. It has an unfinished bonus room over the garage. The garage is built to accommodate 2 over sized vehicles. The chef's kitchen has many added amenities. The master bedroom, basement, and deck have separate entrances. The southwest facing back of the home has a large bank of windows. The northeast facing front has a circle drive and front porch. The home was built with extra care and concern by Sammy Fishel, who is my kindergarten teacher's and first employer's (Ruth Fishel's) son, all from Franklinton. The process of building this home was done with much love and hope by our family. We are very blessed!
