Hey friends!!
Still no jewelry.. sorry about that 🙈 I’ve really been struggling with Olli V, I don’t want to quit making pretties, but things have been… rough 🥲
I haven’t really felt connected to wire wrapping, which is crazy because it used to be my favorite thing to do! I just feel burnt out, because instead of it being a hobby, I turned it into a business without ANY plans. I just wire wrapped until my fingers hurt, practiced, failed a few times, and then I started getting traction. I’m so lucky (and grateful) that all of my friends, family, and STRANGERS (🥹❤️) support me - but something in my brain changed and I started doing it for the money, not the energy that it puts off into this world. I took a huge step back, because once I realized that, I felt like everything I was creating wasn’t truly ME.
When you buy something from Olli V, I want you to feel an attraction to the piece. I want something in that piece calling out to you, because it’s meant for you, it was made for YOU. I want to make pieces that push my creativity, I want to make ART. I want to make one of a kind pieces I can never make again because I created it from my soul. I don’t want to make pretties just to make money - I want to make them to spread my love and good energy, I want to make them because thats how I create art, I want to make them because it brings me peace and happiness.
So instead of trying to force my way back to that, I decided to get a part time job and really focus on myself & my loved ones. I took a break, and I have been enjoying the life going on around me. I started reading again, and I have been cooking/baking more. I have connected with people in ways I haven’t in a long time and it is really helping me. I know I am not wire wrapping, but it’s okay because when I think about it now, it makes me excited instead of giving me anxiety.
I hope everyone is doing amazing, I miss you all ❤️ I will be posting more often on here, but I’m not sure when I’ll be making more pretties.
