I like finding great quality pieces at thrift stores and using my sewing skills to make them new again. This is a J. Crew dress that was maybe worn once and then washed. The hem had almost a permanent wrinkle in it that would not lay flat. My solution was to add just a touch more weight to it with lace and also add some to the bodice also for fun. I washed it again after adding the lace (and of course also adding pockets) and no more wrinkle.

This dress fits a M/L and is for sale at Hidden Treasures. 🙂

What a difference fun pockets make and now it’s custom. 🥰 Thanks for your help deciding on the pocket pattern. This dress is 100% cotton, size large and $30. It’s a cute vintage cut with shirring at the back. Will be available at Hidden Treasures tomorrow. 👗🪡

Replacing the pockets on this dress to update and add a little fun! If you saw this for sale at a vintage store, which one would you gravitate toward? The two on the left are vintage fabrics and the two on the right are new prints. Don’t look too close at the chickens because they get a little scary. 🤣

🚨 Sewing Machine Repair 🚨

Great news, I am now accepting sewing machines for cleaning and repair again. Thank you for your continued support during the transition!

We will be at Hidden Treasures, this Thursday from 10-5 for machine drop offs. Then wander around find your treasures!!
