Haven't been working on a lot of costumes lately. After the fire this spring I am still trying to get organized. School and work have been getting in the way. I am looking forward to creating more in this coming year.

I was looking for this pretty light pink satin ribbon to trim out my chocolate brown velvet Dickens era hat. I ended up sorting ribbon for four hours. Finally found the ribbon I was thinking of, it is peach not pink. Sigh, I see the Way of the year of the hat is not to be an easy path to follow.

My struggle is real, I need to make a new surcoat for a 12th night party on the 11th. I have 15 yards of black velvet I want to use. The problem is it is in a storage tub under four other storage tubs filled with fabric. I just had surgery and can't lift anything over 15 pounds.
Sigh...I guess I'll have to go buy some new fabric, you know, for my health.
