As much as I love my old Seikos, there's a lot to be said for these modern homage watches. This Tandorio homage to the SBDX001 looks absolutely stunning. It features a 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, and an NH35 Seiko/TMI movement. Screw down crown and case back give 200 m water resistance. Smooth feeling unidirectional dive bezel. Nice dial details. Decent lume. All for under a hundred bucks, *including* the tariffs.

This is a no-brainer.

I've got a dozen of these Tandorio watches and every one has been a solid home run. If you want something that punches way over its weight (price), you absolutely cannot go wrong with one of these.

Today's watch comes from Tandorio, one of my favorite value brands. I have eight Tandorio watches at the moment, I've had as many as 12, gifted two to my sons and sold a couple that weren't being worn frequently. I think they represent a tremendous value for the dollar. When I bought this watch it was about $65. Now they're about $100, but still there are a few that can offer comparable specs for anywhere near that price

This watch has a genuine bronze case, stainless steel back, a sapphire crystal, a Seiko NH35 automatic movement (yes, with ghost date), and a 200 m water resistance rating. I've had this one for 2 years now. It is slowly developing a proper bronze patina.

Worn today on a two-piece nylon strap.

Do not underestimate Chinese watchmaking. They are serious contenders today.

I have so much as I love my vintage watches, there's a whole lot to be said for the modern stuff.

I have had this Boderry Voyager for a couple years now, and I'll say without hesitation it is the best bang for the buck you'll find in a field watch today. It was $87 when I bought it, ($119 today) and what you get is very impressive, especially considering the price point: a solid titanium case, sapphire crystal, Seiko NH35 automatic movement, 100 m water resistance, a well executed dial with 12 and 24-hour scales, and decent lume.

Wearing today on a heavy canvas two-piece strap, which I think fits this one well.

Anyway, no financial interest, no affiliate links, just a recommendation for a great value daily wear piece.
