On Saturday, October 18 my sweet Dipsey went home to be with Joey and all of my other precious pups! I have been so blessed to have so many lovely pops over the years!
Dipsey was so special to me! She was loving and so perceptive to my needs! She was the very last pop that Joey, Reagan and I picked out!
We arrived at the Humane Society in Houston One Heights early Saturday morning, so that we would be the first one there and have first choice to pick out a pup! We had narrowed it down to a sweet Jack, Russell, and Dipsey! There was a young couple there that came in after us and they were interested in the Jack Russell, but they told them that we had first choice! We kept going back-and-forth and then Joey said that we should take Dipsey because he didn't think anyone else would take her because she was a little scraggly! Lol!
For 16 years and 10 months, she was the best pup ever! Her and her sister Tessa, the little potbelly Yorkie were with me through all the sadness of Joey dying and Dipsey was with me through so many more ups and downs! She was the one who got me up out of bed every morning when all I wanted to do was stay in bed and have a pity party!
She was funny, so Loving and every time I would come home, she would greet me at the stairs and just basically chew me out wondering where I have been and why I didn't come home early. It was hilarious! I would in the same little dog voice tell her how rude she was. I'm sure if the neighbors heard us they thought we were absolutely nuts. Everyone who knew Dipsey could not believe she did that because she was such a quiet dog. She was the store mascot when I had the store and the children loved her and when they came in and my customers always asked about her!
Della , Dipsey and I had gone home for the all school reunion and she passed while we were there!
I plan on having my ashes spread in Tuleta so I decided to bury her there under the what we call the Tuleta Oak! My cousin Byron had a lovely white box with a silk lining, and he was so wonderful and helping me bury her there! One day, Joey and I will join her there along with ashes of other pups!
Reagan and I love you Dipsy and we were so glad that the month before the three of us got to take a trip together!
