Zanilah is coming home tonight.

Here’s a photo dump from when we dropped her off at Palm Beach Atlantic University - PBA. We stayed in before driving to West Palm Beach. It’s a beautiful place, but very expensive, and I’m still trying to find good food spots there.

I love shopping at Ross. The racks are always full, but I’ll take good over shopping any day.

Zanilah is riding the Brightline to Orlando since she left her car with me.

We’re meeting there for , and I’m so excited to see her. I’ve missed her so much.

Danielle Dixon made the shirts for Zanilah's dorm move-in. I came up with the idea two days before move-in day. She still made it happen for Zanilah’s special day. I’m forever .

Yesterday, I hugged my 17-year-old daughter, Zanilah, a little tighter before leaving her at Palm Beach Atlantic University - PBA. In that moment, I saw both the little girl who once held my hand and the young woman who now walks boldly into her future, , confident, and unafraid to advocate for herself.

I thought about the Mother’s Day cards in her beautiful handwriting that have brought me both tears and , and the quiet prayer I whispered over her life as I washed her hair before she left.

My heart swells with joy knowing that everyone who meets her adores her, but it overflows even more knowing she's mine.
