Hello friends & family of downtown Galax!
It is a bittersweet day as the tea shop closes but we are so thankful for all that God has provided us & we can't wait to see what He is going to do in the future! As many of you know our reasons for closing, we would like to make this post clarifying the truth so that any false information that has been given recently gets put to rest.
Our family recently was asked to become foster parents to my 9-year-old niece. This was very unexpected but when family is involved, you have to follow God's plan, and this was definitely a decision that we felt had to be made. My niece has been with us since June 1st and with that it was impossible for us to continue to run the tea shop full-time as our new responsibilities required us to be at many appointments, counseling & therapy sessions, etc. Also, continuing to work as a nurse on the weekends allowed no time for our family to spend together.
The tea shop has been thriving since its opening, there was no issues with its growth; however, due to our family's new responsibilities, we needed to determine what was best for our family and unfortunately that was that the tea shop had to close.
God has provided in so many ways, we are living testament to His power & grace. We pray that any feuds and miscommunications that have been made to harm the Meant 2 Be AnTEAques name will be put to rest and that God will be glorified in all that He has done and is continuing to do.
The mission trip to Uganda is still planned to take place in August despite the constant interference that satan has tried to impose. God is bigger, God is stronger & more powerful! We are expecting to help over 20,000 people there in the 2-day health camp that we will be providing by God's grace, this tells us that we are on the verge of doing something great for the Lord and this is why we face hardships & strife.
We are so thankful for the time that we were able to spend as part of downtown Galax. Please continue to support the small businesses as well as the new businesses to come! Even in the closing of the tea shop, God is blessing in so many ways with new faces & new ideas! It is amazing to witness! Thank you all for your support & may God bless each & everyone!
