Happy Two Years to Sea Hag! 🥂
Humble beginnings!
June 10th I moved to Galveston to become a caretaker for my father who was waiting in the VA hospital for a double heart and kidney transplant. I found an affordable retail location on the third floor of the @ and decided within the week I would take my online vintage clothing resale business and turn it into a brick and mortar. Between getting the shop ready and daily runs to the Houston VA hospital, I was hopeful. June 17th my father passed away. I decided to stay in Galveston and continue opening my shop, to help my mom and honor him. July 5th was our official day open. I set a humble goal of making $50 a day to start, and was blown away by my $250 day. Two days after opening Hurricane Beryl swept in to town and my mom and I went right back to Dallas for a week to avoid the storm. We were closed a week, but came back to a very successful summer of sales on the third floor.

Yet, I still managed to get both shops ready, open and running by October 1st on my own. Propped behind the register in her wheelchair, my mom ran her little art supply and gift shop while downstairs I continued to grow my lil vintage biz.

In June, I had an idea I wanted to bring to life. I talked to my wonderful landlord, and he granted me another opportunity- Right across the hall from Sea Hag, @ was born and officially opened June 21st, 2025. By October we realized we just did not have enough space for our businesses to continue the trajectory of growth they were on. As much as we adored and revered our beautiful historic building we started in and the owners that made our dreams possible, we made the decision to move to a larger space on ground level over at the old Mob Bar. That’s the location we are in now and there’s lots of rooms for activities! We h
