🎨 Meet the Artist: Matthew Miller

Kansas artist Matthew Miller brings a deep appreciation for both art history and painting to his work. A graduate of Fort Hays State University and the University of Kansas, he is especially known for his plein air paintings, creating artwork outdoors and on location to capture the atmosphere and beauty of the moment. His work reflects a thoughtful connection to the landscapes that inspire him.

Michael Knutson is an artist, educator, and arts advocate whose work is inspired by the landscapes and stories of the Great Plains. As a Professor of 2-D Art at Garden City Community College and a board member of Garden City Arts, he is passionate about fostering creativity both in and outside the classroom. His atmospheric paintings blend imagination and memory, inviting viewers into richly layered visual stories.
