Project Peace

Project Peace You exist. You are real. You are capable. You are valuable. You are not alone. Hi everyone. My name is Alex. I've been homeless myself, and it was tough.
(1)

I am a registered nurse and am in school to specialize in mental health and psychiatry. I started project peace clothing to help provide clothing to the homeless. Growing up, I was constantly moving from place to place and trying to find food wherever I could. I struggled with my identity and mental health as the years went by and later developed a horrible addiction. As some of you might know, an

addiction is a lifelong battle. I have been going to therapy and support groups weekly to fight this endless battle. But, after years and years of fighting, all I wanted was peace. Hence the name of my business is Project Peace Clothing. Project Peace Clothing started as a reason for me to help out other people spread awareness and as a means for me to provide clothing to the homeless. I make and deliver care packages yearly, but as the weather gets colder and colder, I realize the importance of clothing. I needed to get reasonably priced clothes to keep these people warm. So I came up with the idea to spread this around, and for every piece of clothing someone buys from Project Peace, I can provide a piece of clothing to the homeless. Project Peace Clothing is currently still growing and changing, and one of the significant changes I plan on implementing soon is adding a different meaning to Project Peace. My girlfriend of 9 years is everything to me. She is so strong and amazing. I want to dedicate this business to her because it isn't only about me and what I want. Project Peace will also encompass Women's Empowerment and positivity because, to me, without my girlfriend, I would not be here today. Thank you for listening.

Having experienced homelessness himself, Alex Nguyen knows firsthand how challenging it can be to not have even the basic essentials.

Growing up as a first-generation Vietnamese child, raised by a single mother who had him at a young age, Alex faced many challenges that most of us can't even imagine. But instead of letting his difficult past define him, he decided to take action. This is what inspired him to start Project Peace Clothing.

Alex admits that he has dealt with some trauma and mental health issues growing up, and for this he decided to undergo a three-and-a-half-year therapy. Now, Alex is a mental health nurse, slowly working towards his psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree. He's passionate about helping people who struggle with mental health issues, especially those in the addiction population and the homeless community.

Through his clothing line, Alex is not only advocating for mental wellness and women's empowerment, but he's also helping the homeless community. For every purchase from Project Peace Clothing, Alex gives another homeless person not just the basic survival needs like food and water, but also a piece of clothing to help keep them warm on cold nights.

Alex's past has made him more compassionate and empathetic towards homeless people, and he's using his experiences to make a positive impact on the world. He believes that intentional acts of kindness, even if unnoticed, can cause a ripple effect that touches the lives of many.

Join us as we take a closer look at the inspiring story of Alex Nguyen and his mission to spread peace, love, and kindness through Project Peace Clothing.
