Taken a very long break from this platform bc like many of you this year has had our minds elsewhere. Popping on with a thank you to all those who have been able to shop and support financially, and to thank those struggling for hanging around. Like many households one of us has been unemployed for much of the year so this business of mine has kept us afloat. I also know that it didn’t feel right to me to promote my work excessively in a year when we have all collectively lost so much. I think that we are still grappling with the deep rifts and the more we focus on consuming the less we focus on making things better for Black, Indigenenous and People of Color.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Personally we the started the year adopting a high need pupper (so glad we did bc my partner’s layoff and and then lockdown began shortly after) and she kept us busy and brought so much joy. We’ve since also fostered two more dogs, a truly fulfilling endeavor. We planted an orchard, painted our bedroom, and tended our veggie garden, and I started a second business to help make ends meet - all things I share on my personal account bc I still struggle with how to balance my personal and professional voice on this account. It’s also been a year where it political activity felt more urgent than anything else.

There is a lot more to say but I want to thank you for being here and that I am so proud of all of us who have made it through this year, we deserve a rest.
