Established entryway.

I repurposed several items from my apartment in my new entry. I set up a table with drawers for keys and mail, a bench for putting on shoes, and a mirror for last minute primping. The table used to be my WFH desk, the mirror and prints were in my living room, and the bench used to be in my office at work. I love to try pieces in other places and give them new life.

It’s now ready for visitors!

Details matter.

I wanted to add some modern glam to update this chest. Can you believe I found the perfect k***s in the dollar section of ?!

The half round shape adds contrast with the straight line design, and the matte gold coordinates with the shades of wood.

This simple change cost $6 and gives the piece an instant update. Swipe to see the before.

Love the views in my new town! It’s so peaceful out here. I enjoy seeing the land and animals as I drive around. At night it’s so dark I can actually see the stars.

Obsessed with gold accents ✨✨✨

I’ve had these lamps and added more gold lighting throughout the house. This Sputnik ceiling light might be my favorite, though.

Living room transformation. ✅

My inspiration was modern neutrals with ethnic and indigo accents. Finding a sectional this large in the time frame and price I needed was a challenge. I scoured store after store until this one popped up on !

Everything fell into place and I got this the day we moved in. Which was great since I sold all of our seating and we were using an air mattress. 😂

Are you officially an adult when you get excited about appliances?

We got our fridge today, and I love how it completes the kitchen. I went with black stainless steel which looks so cool with the countertops and island. Can’t wait to fill it up! Heartfelt thanks to my amazing family for this gift. 🙏🏽

I’d rather be napping in my new room instead of doing homework. 😩 But it will be there when I’m done!

I love mixing vintage, recycled, and new. I feel like it gives a home a comfortable and unique look that’s affordable. Recently I scored these green nightstands on Facebook Marketplace, and they add the perfect amount of color against the white comforter, walls, and curtains. Not sure what to put on the walls yet. Any suggestions? ⠀

When you need two carts for all the gems you found at

If y’all don’t know about Ross, it’s one of my fave places to find cute, trendy items on a budget. Since it’s a discount store, you definitely want to thoroughly check the item for any defects before you buy.

Most of the time there’s nothing wrong. In some cases you can get 10% off if you find damage that you’re willing to live with or fix. Just simply ask the cashier.

In spite of this, I’ve had many home goods I bought at Ross last for years after. Which is why it’s one of my longtime sources! 💙

Blank canvas.

When I was choosing finishes for my home I knew I wanted a black, white, and wood color scheme. I felt like this would be a good base to add my ethnic and modern pieces on top of.

I quickly learned that ALMOST anything cute is an up charge, so to spread my budget I was strategic about what I upgraded. The result is a combination of standard and upgraded materials that fits the blank canvas I was going for.

In hindsight, I may have tried to squeeze in a few more upgrades, but overall I’m REALLY happy with the results! Swipe for a mini-tour. Can you guess what’s standard and what isn’t?

SO happy to see this beauty find it’s new home! And with that, my shop will be on vacation for the next two weeks as I move and get settled. I’ll have some new gems when I’m back though. Stay tuned for the shop drop. 🤗🎊

Based on my Top 9, y’all liked green in 2020. I can’t say that I blame you. It’s a beautiful color that symbolizes life, growth, safety, and environment. All relevant 2020 themes, for sure.

Green also symbolizes rebirth, and although 2020 may be a year we are happy to see in the rearview mirror, I think we can all agree that we were reborn in some way.

I’m definitely taking the lessons I learned about anxiety, self-care, perseverance, and adaptability into 2021.

If anything, 2020 proved we are stronger than we realize, and that’s something to celebrate. 🎊🥂🥳

I’m an artist, designer, style-lover, and 10th generation Texan who grew up in a working class family in San Antonio. Growing up, I was taught to make the most of every cent, and I was introduced to thrift stores at an early age. What always fascinated me were the worldly goods full of history I found there. Since I didn’t have money to travel the world like I wanted, I imagined where these things may have come from and wandered in my mind.

Being raised by a single mom in the 90’s, I thrift shopped to satisfy my desire for the cool and unique styles I wanted, at a lower price. Through the years I’ve developed a sharp eye for finding trends and eye catching pieces.

Later, when I was learning interior design and showroom management with a luxury designer, I was inspired to start a shop of my own. After many incarnations of the shop, pausing to raise my daughters, and moving around Texas, I revived this passion project.

What you find here is a curated collection of pieces I come across in my second-hand shopping sprees. I search all the places, so you don’t have to, and bring you quality, hand-selected pieces with a globe-trotting feel.
