🚨LONG POST PLEASE READ🚨
Hey friends,
I never imagined I’d be writing this, but after months of sleepless nights, strategy pivots, and more crying than I care to admit, I’ve made the painful decision to close my online boutique.
The truth is simple but tough: sales just haven’t kept pace with the sky‑high cost of shipping and the other hidden expenses that pile up behind the scenes. I tried every avenue I could think of—fresh collections, pop‑up collaborations, flash sales, even asking another boutique owner for a chance to move my boutique there. I thought this would come to pass BUT it did not! Nothing moved the needle far enough.
Along the way I discovered something else that broke my heart: this industry can be cut‑throat. While there are some incredible women cheering loudly for each other, I also saw firsthand that not everyone in this space truly supports fellow female‑owned businesses. That hurt more than words, but I will still send people your way because I TRULY DO support other local boutiques.
Closing this shop isn’t just shutting down a Social Media Page —it’s putting a pause on a dream I’ve carried for years. I’m grieving that hard right now, but I also know dreams can evolve. If you’ve ever double‑tapped a post, shared a story, or trusted me with a single purchase, please know you’ll always have a huge piece of my gratitude. Your support kept me going far longer than the balance sheets say I should have.
I’ll be having a Sale at my home SOON, so remaining pieces can find their forever closets, then I’ll officially close. I will make an invite and send it, if you RSVP that you want to come then I will give you all the details! If there’s something you have had your eye on! Come to the Sale!!
Thank you for believing in me, for cheering me on, and for reminding me that even in a ruthless industry, community still matters. My story isn’t over; this is just a painful but necessary chapter break. I hope you’ll stick around for whatever comes next.
With love (and a few tears),
Marie ❤️🥲
