Here are 6 signs your wedding dress may need alterations, including a few that surprise brides all the time:

1. The neckline keeps gaping.

Yes, we can do your wedding dress alterations in a day…do we recommend it? Absolutely not.

Why? Well for starters, you’d have to spend the entire day with us while we pin, sew, press, and have you try your dress on over and over again. (Trust us… that’s not how anyone wants to spend a day.)

Instead, we spread your fittings out over several weeks. Why? Because bodies change, ideas change, and sometimes your dress needs a little more love than we planned.

At the same time, we’re caring for hundreds of other brides’ gowns, making sure every single one gets the attention it deserves.

That’s why we recommend starting your alterations 12 weeks before your wedding. More time means less stress, room for changes, and the perfect fit when it matters most.

Don’t wait until the last minute. Your dream dress deserves the time to become your perfect dress.

Today is McKenzie’s last day at Ohana Bridal before she heads to Spain to study abroad, and we honestly couldn’t be more proud of her.
