Well, apparently today is National Scarf Day.
Who knew? Certainly not the woman who makes scarves.
A small piece of fabric. A whole lot of attitude.
Wear it. Tie it. Twist it. Make it yours.
Happy National Scarf Day!
See one in the pile that looks like you? Just ask. 😉

Lehigh Valley friends—look where one of my kimonos landed! 💛

This one-of-a-kind Weeping Willow Hand Werk kimono made its way from Arizona to AM Luxe in Bethlehem, PA, for a St. Luke's fundraiser benefiting Women's Imaging.

A special thank you to Ann Marie Supinski at AM Luxe for welcoming my work into her beautiful store and supporting Women's Imaging. 💛 And seeing Michele Brands and Debra Herrlinger pictured here with my kimono made me smile!

I almost forgot to share this milestone!

I completed my Fashion Styling certification through FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology)/Yellowbrick—and I'm especially proud of the final project that brought it all together.

My assignment wasn't simply about choosing beautiful clothes. It began with understanding the woman: her lifestyle, personal style, environment, and the occasions she dresses for. From there, I created looks designed specifically around her.

This is the werk behind the work at Altura Studio 8.

Because great style isn't about following fashion. It's about knowing what to do with it.

And yes...there will always be a little TWIRL. 😉

One kimono. Four ways. And not one of them required a new wardrobe.

Pull out a quiet color.
Control the sparkle.
Let texture do the talking.
Change the bottom—and change the look.

Style isn't about having more clothes. It's about seeing more possibilities in what you wear.

This one-of-a-kind kimono was designed and created by Weeping Willow Hand Werk—Wearable Art made to become your art when you wear it.

Wear the Art. Make It Yours.

Wearable Art can do a little good, too.
On SEPTEMBER12, this one-of-a-kind kimono and matching scarf from Weeping Willow Hand Werk will be part of the silent auction benefiting DSquared Homes for the Homeless.

Navy, cream, blue, fresh green and gold ochre come together in a piece with so many possibilities. Dress it up. Pair it with denim. Make it completely your own.

I'm proud that something created by my own hands can help support the work of Dsquared Homes for the Homeless.

And to whoever takes this piece home: wear it often, enjoy the compliments, make it yours–and most of all...TWIRL!
