June 1, 2020, I am announcing the closing of Quilting and Alterations by Alice. I will finish the quilts/alterations that I currently have in house by the end of June. My husband and I are retiring to Gilbertsville, KY and will be moving by the end of the summer. To all of my Quilting and Alterations Customers. I am aware of a higher viewing list on my site. Thank you for checking my site. I am continuing my "Stay in Place" thru May 15. I continue to complete backlogged projects for patient customers and feel that I will be "Safely" caught up by that time. Then I will re-evaluate reopening for steady, by appointment only, business. I will continue to schedule appointments with enough time in-between customers that little to no contact will happen. My husband and I are staying healthy and pray to remain in this healthy state. I will make call backs and put customers on the schedule after May 15th.

And if anyone asks, Yes, I have made masks as requested, but am now out of elastic/binding, so NO more masks to be made in the future from me.

So please remain Prayerful for our city of Quincy, for Illinois and for the rest of the World. Stay safe, make wise decisions and we will soon be out and about again, a lot smarter and more appreciative of who we are and with the blessings that we have. I am now acknowledging information about my Quilting and Alterations by Alice business with concern with the Coronavirus. I am staying in as IL state is on Lock Down. But I am still sewing on orders that I currently have "in house". I will be completing them and calling/texting you as to when they are ready for pick up and balance due. You may choose to wait for your pick up or we will set a time on Friday's for pick ups. So if you have orders with me, they will be completed. If you are in need for future sewing, I ask you to put it on hold thru the middle to the end of April. You are welcome to call/text me and I will put you on a call back list. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to all of my sewing customers. Thank you for the great year in 2019 and looking forward to the year of 2020. Just letting you know that my Dec bookings are now full. If you have projects in house to be completed, they will be done by Dec. 20. If you are needing projects done, they will have to wait until Jan 22. I will be out of the Sewing Room From Dec 20 thru Jan 22. I am taking this time off to enjoy the holidays with my newly retired husband(Oct 31 from the USPS). And the grands are visiting in the St. Louis area for the next several months, so time to enjoy them for a few days. Just to inform all of my sewing customers. Grand kids are out the door and I am recuperating from my R hip revision(redo) surgery that was done on August 14 in Columbia, MO. The surgery went very well, , getting to come home the next day/afternoon. My Rick is home to help me for a few days. My plans are to be back in the sewing room by Sept 4 and ready to go with completion of some orders and get new ones started. Fall is just around the corner and so are those beautiful colors to enjoy in our wardrobes. Thank you for your prayers and concerns. They are most appreciated.
