Made this quilt for an old friend of mine 70th birthday. I couldn’t post it and ask questions obviously. So I did private questions on either blue or gray for the binding. That vote ended up being blue Minky. We celebrated her birthday today and she received it. I think she likes it.

My granddaughter came to visit. Checking out the house, my new living quarters. Decided she wanted to make a quilt. Went out and bought her material cut it all out to her own pattern. Sewed it all together on our own. Quilted it with a long arm all on her own. Used a gun pantograph to go with the hunting theme. Had binding already and pinned. Was running out of time so I tacked it down for her. Proud that she was able to do it all on her own. She made a friend baby Quilt in 2014. This is her second one now. Glad to have one other family member who likes to sew.

I really enjoyed Carol Doaks paper piecing state stars. Decided I’d make myself a table runner, with the states that people I love live in. The blue purple one is South Dakota. Guess who? The second one is national Park Grand Canyon. Which I’ve had the pleasure to visit four times. It had such crazy colors. I just had to try it. We’ll see what number three is.

After I figured out how to make the candy canes go in the right direction this went smooth.

Received a couple videos on how to make these. Scandinavian star. Ended up making a few. The video made it seem harder to me. But I finally figured it out. Pretty easy. It says to use four different fabrics. But I like the same fabric ones best. What do you think?

I thought the fabric Christmas trees looked cute. But once I put them together, they weren’t as cute as they were in the how to video.

Took the shattered glass Christmas tree challenge class. It was a lot of fun. Mo came over to do one. We ended up with four total. I’ve always wanted to know how to do. Acrylic pour so this was a fun way to learn. Used up some of the old jewelry around here. Then I had to finish off some bowls next. I wrapped rope last week. This week they are now bowls.
