This student completely designed and sewed this costume herself. To watch her come to class, take a piece of fabric and in no time have a plan in mind and completed it. What a talented girl she is. Can’t wait to see what is next!! 🎭🤩

Wow! 🤩 Such a great job on this quilted bag! Each quilt square is individually sewn and stuffed. Such a labor of love and such personality in this piece! Love all the contrasting patterns that work so well together. ❤️

Happy Memorial Day weekend! Loving all these student projects finish as the school year is wrapping up, and what a great reward as their sewing teacher to watch their progress and the happiness (from family, too)!

Every sewing class, she would ask me, “Will it be done today?” 🪡✨

Each week, I’d reassure her that it would be done soon and remind her that all the hard work she is putting in would be so worth it. Session after session, she kept sewing, learning, and putting so much care into every detail of her purse.

When she finally finished it today, she held it up with the biggest smile and said, “Oh… it was worth the wait and all the hard work.” 🤍 Moments like these are one of my favorite parts of teaching.

Congrats to our student, Avila! She sewed these super cute pajama pants with a matching pillow, and a sweet yellow purse with 🐝 bees on the outside and floral lining.

She entered them at Santa Clara County’s 4H Fashion R***e and got to walk the runway on Saturday! She scored Gold. Way to go, Avila! She is very thankful for Gigi working on her projects with her and is excited for next year’s show. 🌟
