I’ve had this little idea tucked away in the corner of my mind for a very long time …and it all started with the sweetest little shop I walked into years ago in New Hampshire. Something about it just stayed with me.

So I’m pretty excited to finally introduce our own little version — the Little Luxuries corner at Uptown Charm. 😊

Pretty soaps, hand creams, Swedish cloths, one-of-a-kind soap dishes and other little finds — because a little luxury doesn’t have to be expensive.

The three of us worked so hard today to finish up our fall/winter reset!

Racks came apart, displays moved, jewelry went everywhere, even Tom got recruited, and somehow we ended up with an astonishing number of empty hangers.

Thank you again to everyone who shopped our clearance sale and helped us make some much-needed room.

If I’m being completely honest, I don’t like photos of myself, especially on fb… but I had a funny moment today looking at myself in the mirror so I thought I’d share. I have a feeling some of you can relate. 

I can remember looking at my mom years ago in her loose, comfy pants and thinking, Nope. Never me… I was going to stay in “current fashion” forever.

Well, here we are a few years later (😉) and I find myself wearing loose and comfy white cotton pants… and I’ve actually paired them with a loose and comfy top!

A loose top with loose pants? This is definitely a no-no in the fashion world, especially if the years have softened a few edges .

But today, I’m feeling comfortable and pulled together ….and I’ve discovered that comfort and style get along pretty well… 

Turns out my mom knew a thing or two after all.
